This role will contribute in developing and implementing statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports. The position will identify and suggest new ways to streamline business processes by using data to create models that depict trends in corporate data. This role will work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. This role will also provide suggestions for data analytic framework tools and maintain once implemented. Essential Job Tasks: Leads and contributes to data analysis projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of Santee Cooper's operations and challenges. Acts as a mentor for junior data scientists and assist in their professional development. Takes ownership of project tasks and deliverables, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines. Exhibits strong communication skills in presenting findings and insights to stakeholders within and outside the data science team. Seeks opportunities for process improvement and innovation in data analysis and modeling. Position Requirements Will consider Data Scientist I, II or III Data Scientist III Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field + 5 years experience. Must be proficiency in Python, R, and RStudio. Must have experience in data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning. Must have knowledge of cloud-based data management and analytics. Compensation Information: $102,560 - $128,200 (min. - mid.) Data Scientist II Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field + 2 years experience, Associate's Degree in related field + 4 years experience or High School Diploma/GED + 6 years experience. Must be proficiency in Python, R, and RStudio. Must have experience in data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning. Must have knowledge of cloud-based data management and analytics. Compensation Information: $82,520 - $103,140 (min. - mid.) Data Scientist I Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field, Associate's Degree in related field + 2 years experience or High School Diploma/GED + 4 years experience. Must have knowledge of cloud-based data management and analytics. Compensation Information: $66,390 - $82,980 (min. - mid.)
