This position focuses on the measurement and optimization of advertising expenditure. This role will work closely with our marketing team to drive traffic to our e-commerce marketplace. The statistical learning algorithms you develop will affect tens of millions of advertising dollars each year. What you’ll do: You will need understand Bayesian inference and how marketing advertising works. You will frame challenging business problems as a data science problem and concrete set of tasks. You will leverage others’ skills, knowledge, and expertise effectively in problem solving and delivering impact. You will apply a range of common machine learning and statistical methods to solve business problems. You will build end-to-end design of media mix models based on detailed understanding of business requirements, including approach, choice of algorithm and data sources. You will build positive relationships, drive decisions and progress with Machine Learning, Marketing, and Engineering teams, and communicate findings to executives and partners. Who you are: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in Data Science, analytics and/or engineering fields. Experienced in industrial application of machine learning. Demonstrated understanding of the limitations of selected methods. Have significant experience in at least one major ML programming language (Python, R...) and familiar with others. Proven storytelling and presentation skills Accustomed to collaborative, fun work environment The total cash range for this position in Austin is $112,000.00 to $156,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $179,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
