The Opportunity The Director – Forecasting & Data Science will lead our forecasting team, primarily tasked with developing contact center volume models. You’ll leverage advanced analytical techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency in predicting interaction volumes, ensuring optimal resource allocation. With a proven track record in data-driven decision-making, you will guide your team in developing new methods to optimize call center operations. Beyond the contact center, your vision will extend into broader forecasting and predictive modeling initiatives. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop models that analyze customer trends, preference, and financial behaviors. You’ll provide stakeholders with actionable insights, enabling tailored strategies for personalized experiences and product offerings. You’ll be positioned as a key resource in using new analytical methods to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth. The Work Itself Take a leadership role in building and driving data science initiatives for the consumer insights organization. Foster close collaboration with customer care and operations teams to integrate statistical models with long-term in business planning. Actively participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes based on forecasted data. Collaborate with privacy, legal and regulatory teams to establish and ensure compliance in the proper use of predictive models. Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in forecasting and analytics to drive innovation within the organization. Establish and track key performance indicators to continually measure business outcomes and model performance. Continuously evaluate and enhance models, ensuring adaptability to dynamic market conditions. The Skills You Bring 7+ years of professional experience in modeling and analytics, preferably in financial services. Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels. Strong skills in SQL, Python, R, SAS, or other open-source tools that are used for predictive modeling, advanced analytics, and machine learning work. Experience building and managing models for forecasting as well as the ability to communicate the selection of the models and the statistics behind them. Experience being a people leader is a plus.
